The ByteBrothers™ POE1000 Power Panel™ is a CAT5/6 DVM and Network/PoE Tester. Discover the best way to test if PoE power to VoIP phones, IP video surveillance cameras and other PoE devices is working. CAT5/6 cables are jammed with data, phone, surveillance cameras and now 48 volts of PoE (Power over Ethernet). The solution for every network and installer, POE1000 helps you spot each of these devices. It lets you know what's your on cable before plugging in. Plus two interactive buttons exercise switches with or without POE.
Knowing what power is on your Ethernet cable can save thousands of dollars in damaged devices and test equipment. The Power Panel acts like a PoE device to test the power. It scans CAT5/6 cables constantly for devices and voltages. You can observe it stepping through each pair. Three ultra-bright device LEDs are the first alert of voltage activity. They light when a device or voltage is present, spotting NIC cards, phones, PoE discovery voltage and full voltages (both endspan and midspan).
Some switches and NIC cards won't speak until spoken to. Just push the Talk Ethernet button to test communication. Model POE1000 will display and trigger link data. Press a button to simulate a PoE device and see if full voltage is delivered (compatible with IEEE and Cisco® PoE standards).
Includes 9-volt battery and illustrated user's manual. One-year warranty.
