The FTK1-02-0900PR Oil and Gas Fiber Splicing and OTDR Test Combo Kit from AFL Telecommunications provides key tools and OTDR accessories for fiber installation and restoration. The Fujikura 70S core alignment fusion splicer?s processing time is only 21 seconds (14 seconds of tube heating and 7 seconds of fiber splicing in SM FAST mode) due to the automated wind protector initiating the splice process, and programmable sheath clamps. Two CMOS cameras and a 4.7" color LCD monitor offer a clear picture even in bright sunlight. The Fujikura fusion splicer is shock, water and dust resistant and is compatible with the FuseConnect connectors. The Li-ion battery capacity is 200 splices/shrinks per charge. The automated and enhanced features make this fusion splicer the ideal solution for splicing single mode and multimode fiber. The portable AFL CT-30A is a reliable, easy-to-use fiber cleaver with adapter plate and a 16-position blade which yields 48,000 single fiber cleaves. Fiber shards are stored in the built-in scrap collector.
The NOYES® M310 Quad OTDR with Enhanced Mode Fill (EMF) is designed for testing, troubleshooting, documenting networks with closely spaced events, and certification of single mode and multimode networks. It has event dead zones at 0.8m, attenuation dead zones < 3 m, and a dynamic range of up to 38dB. This OTDR provides highly efficient and more accurate link loss measurements for single mode and multimode fiber (850/1300/1310/1550nm). It features an integrated Optical Power Meter (OPM), Visual Fault Locator (VFL) and DFS1 Digital FiberScope. The NOYES optical time domain reflectometer with Touch and Test™ offers a Full Auto, Auto-Once, Expert and Real-Time modes. The Windows® compatible TRM™ 2.0 Software is supplied for generating reports, viewing, printing and analyzing test results.
The AFL NOYES OTDR Accessory Kit includes eight 150 meter fiber rings (which serve both as launch and receive test cables), six 2 meter test cords - 9/125µm single mode, 62.5/125µm multimode and 50/125µm laser optimized multimode (OM3) test cords with SC, FC, E-2000 fiber optic cable connectors. The AFL One-Click Cleaners, CleanConnect 500 cassette cleaner, CCT sticks, FiberWipes™ and FCC2 Fiber Optic Cleaning Fluid are available, as well as connector adapters and fiber mandrels for testing multimode power loss (50 and 62.5µm). A rugged carrying case with custom cut foam holds all items, including M310 OTDR.
