Part:812X416
The AFL OFI-400HP Optical Fiber Identifier is used to identify fibers without disrupting service. High power fiber identifier will detect power signal levels +33 to -40 dBm (@1550nm, 3mm fiber). A build-in power meter is calibrated for 3mm jacketed SMF-28. A 2-position plunger allows it to be used with 2mm jacketed fiber as well. Optical fiber identifier will detect traffic, CW and 270, 330, 1000 and 2000Hz tones. If power levels rise above 23dBm a warning message illuminates the LDC display. Includes a user guide, batteries & carry case.
The Noyes OFI-400HP is an Optical Fiber Identifier that is designed to locate and measure the power levels of optical signals on singlemode optical fiber without disrupting the integrity of the fiber. To use this device, simply clamp it onto a fiber and it will analyze the activity within the fiber. The OFI-400HP is meant to be used specifically in situations where high levels of optical power impede testing such as testing fibers with higher power level signals. If the optical power level in a fiber exceeds 500 mW, the OFI-400HP will alert the user. When used in conjunction with Noyes optical light sources, the versatility of the OFI-400's applications greatly increases, forming a compact testing set that does not require the user to switch between testing plungers. This device is powered by 1.5 V AAA batteries, and is designed to be energy efficient, meaning that that it can make thousands of fiber tests before needing battery replacement.
Includes OFI-400HP, user guide, batteries, and soft carry case.
