The Hobbes 256655G LANIDgiga Giga LAN Device Status Identifier is a handy diagnostic tool for LAN network installation and troubleshooting. It has an integrated PoE function to identify the type of PSE (power sourcing equipment), and whether the POE voltage is detected on the endspan pair 12-36, or on the midspan pair 45-78. The Hobbes™ 256655G LANIDgiga Giga LAN Device Status Identifier is a simple handhold tool that is an advanced edition of the Hubbes LANID Pro that can be used for high efficiency diagnostic testing of network installations, in particular on LAN devise. This unit indicates whether the tested LAN equipment supports 1000 BASE-T full duplex, 10/100 auto negotiation, 100 BAE-Tx full duplex, 100 Base-Tx half duplex, 10 BASE-T full duplex, or 10 BASE-T half duplex capabilities. The device contains two RJ45 plugs for direct and NIC testing respectively. This identifier can also be used to test the existence of POE and break down the type of power sourcing equipment on the network. With an added portfinder function, low battery indicator, and link indication, this testing device is ideal for easy troubleshooting. This device uses 2 AAA batteries.
